I work in a variety of media, but primarily use pen and ink, watercolor, colored pencil and graphite. These materials allow for great detail and color flexibility. I use perspective and lighting to create a mood. With or without words my drawings and paintings tell a story. My illustration experience includes: logos, posters, album covers, comics and books.
I have a BFA in sculpture from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and experience in permaculture, organic perennial garden design, dance and costume design. I organize my "work" time around making sculptures and illustrating books, though it's almost too fun to call it work. My sculpure portfolio can be seen at: soulchassis.com
I live in rural Wisconsin with my husband and kids, and a hilarious Welsh Corgi named Hazel, and a fat orange cat who insists on being drawn or at least laying on my work, preferably while eating.
